Welding & Welded Fabrication Inspections

In welded fabrication processes, quality must be ensured not only in the final product, but at every step from initial joint preparation to final weld repair.

At GMI INSPECTIONS, we oversee all on-site welding operations to verify compliance with technical requirements, procedural standards, and welder qualifications.

Our scope extends far beyond visual checks. Each inspection includes comprehensive verification of WPS/PQR documentation, WPQR certifications, consumable traceability, and non-destructive testing (PT, MT, UT, RT).

Our welding inspection scope includes:
✔️ Review of WPS & PQR documentation
✔️ Verification of welder qualifications (WPQR)
✔️ Visual weld inspection (VT)
✔️ Monitoring of non-destructive tests (PT, MT, UT, etc.)
✔️ Control of welding sequence, heat input, and preheat
✔️ Supervision of weld repairs and re-testing processes

We don’t just certify weld quality on paper we prove it in the field.
During on-site inspections, welding parameters (voltage, amperage, travel speed) are monitored and compared against WPS values to confirm process compliance.
Preheat and interpass temperatures are measured using thermal cameras, while surface cleanliness and evaporation effects are also evaluated as part of our thorough control process.

All welding activities are inspected in three stages:
1️⃣ Pre-weld preparation
2️⃣ In-process monitoring
3️⃣ Post-weld analysis

This holistic approach helps us identify not only existing non-conformities, but also prevent potential structural risks before they occur.

We don’t just look at the weld , we read it.
